The Lonely Pyramid on Sherman Hill

The 60 foot high Ames Monument is located in what was once Sherman, Wyoming. The history of the Monument itself, the area where it is located, and the family history of Oakes and Oliver Ames to whom it is dedicated, tell the story of a great construction project that shaped the future history of our country.
